Mort Meisner, President

Mort Meisner brings more than 27 years of experience in the broadcast news business to work every day in the office of Mort Meisner Associates.  Meisner has experience in every facet of the industry - spending time as an investigative producer, managing editor, assignment editor, assistant news director, and most recently as News Director of WJBK in Detroit from 1989 to 1997.

As a news director, Meisner was responsible for negotiating contracts at all levels, bringing to his role as an agent invaluable experience gleaned from working on the other side of the desk.  Through this position, as well as others, Meisner developed an extensive network of contacts - from managing editors and news directors to general managers.

Throughout his career, Meisner has won numerous awards at major stations in St. Louis, Chicago and Detroit.  In fact, his expertise has been used and his words quoted for textbooks on the news industry at the University of Michigan and other universities.

Today, with vision and a high-level of intensity and energy that's required in the news business, Meisner successfully combines his industry expertise with a myriad of connections to help some of the country's most talented on-air and off-air talent develop and further their careers.
